Liverpool official: Buckingham Group’s intention notice will not affect Anfield’s stand opening plan

Liverpool Football Club official statement

Buckingham Group has let us know that it has submitted a notice of intention to appoint an administrator. This application will not affect the opening plan of the lower stands on new Anfield Road against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Earlier this week, after a successful test, the building control team of Liverpool City Council issued us a safety certificate to operate the lower stands of Anfield Road, we look forward to welcoming the fans to Anfield in the first Premier League home game of the new season.

We will cooperate with Buckingham Group and plan to open the rest of the new stands in stages, and will continue to update the supporters on the arrangements for future competitions.

Our intention is to provide updated information to supporters who have tickets for Aston Villa as early as possible.
